GRE Exam (Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a standardized test that needs to be taken by students looking for  admission to graduate schools.

GRE Is a computer based test which can be taken online and very user friendly for students. GRE Exam focuses on areas like Analytical, verbal and mathematical skills of the students.

Especially those who are applying to graduate schools in order to pursue a Masters of Science (MS) or MBA are required to take the exam.

GRE also has subject tests as component other than GRE exams and these subject tests focus and help student’s application stand out from the rest.

GRE Pattern

GRE exam pattern is as follow- three sections, namely,

1 )Analytical Writing, -is the first section for 30 minutes

2) Verbal Reasoning-20 questions for 30 Minutes

3) Quantitative Reasoning.-20 questions for 30 minutes


GRE Scoring Method

Analytical Writing scoring method- On a 0–6  scale (half point increment)

Verbal Reasoning score:  On a 130–170 score scale (1-point increment)
Quantitative Reasoning score:  On a 130–170 score scale (in 1-point increment)

GRE total score: On a 260–340 score scale
